Leading botanical pesticide company appoints Mike Lemberg as Vice President of strategy and business development
Atlanta, Ga. (May 27, 2008) – Mike Lemberg has joined EcoSMART Technologies, Inc., the world leader in botanical pesticides, as its Vice President for strategy and business development, located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. Lemberg will focus his energy on continuing to advance and extend the company’s growth initiatives in its retail, agricultural, animal health and structural pest control divisions of the company, and helping to scale the operations to support the growth.
“EcoSMART is growing quickly in many areas, and we are delighted to have Mike aboard to help focus our resources and support our continued growth in 2008 and beyond,” said Paul Anderegg, EcoSMART’s CEO. “Total revenue for 2007 increased approximately 60 percent over 2006 and we expect to see substantial growth across all divisions this year. With his substantial financial expertise, Mike will play an integral part in shaping our future,” he noted.
Prior to joining EcoSMART, Lemberg was Vice President of financial planning and analysis, at UNICA Corporation in Waltham, Mass., a global provider of Enterprise Marketing Management software. He was also Vice President of corporate development and Treasurer of Arbinet, a leading electronic market for trading, routing and settling communications capacity. Lemberg has a BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School.
“I am excited to join a company with proven and proprietary technology to control pests with safe, non-toxic and all natural products.” said Lemberg. “My goal is to further our growth plans and scale the company for our continued growth.” he said. As the U.S. increasingly embraces organic alternatives to chemical pesticides, EcoSMART’s proprietary technology and products are increasingly being used by large national companies in residential and commercial settings. With viable and economical solutions to the problems of chemical toxicity and pest resistance, EcoSMART’s agricultural, commercial and retail product lines are among the first to provide an effective alternative to synthetic pesticides that can be used in both organic and conventional treatment programs. The global pesticide market is estimated to be $30 billion.
