EcoSMART Crop Protection, a division of EcoSMART Technologies, Inc., offers products that work on contact and provide the same control as traditional chemicals.  Because of the “green” nature of the ingredients, it is safe for you and your workers to continue working with your crops while controlling pests—whether pre- or post-harvest. The active ingredients in the EcoSMART Crop Protection Products work different ways:  

1. EcoTrol^® EC are insecticides/miticides that attack and block octopamine neuroreceptors found only in insects and mites. Octopamine regulates the insect’s movement, heart rate, behavior, and metabolism and blocking it causes quick knockdown and death. 

2. Sporan^® EC is a fungicide that attacks the cell membranes of fungal hypae and spores.

3. Matran^® EC is a contact herbicide that disrupts the cell membranes of grasses and broadleaf weeds.

4. EcoTrol^® G is a granular soil insecticide designed for the control of pests feeding on plant roots. EcoTrol G works on contact.

The patented ingredients and unique mode of action are a perfect it for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs.  EcoSMART Crop Protection products quickly disperse into the environment leaving no pesticide residue or build-up.  These products are an excellent rotational mixing partner with many chemical and biological pest control products.
